Dr. James L. Nolan, Jr., Chair and Washington Gladden 1859 Professor of Sociology at Williams College, joins McConnell Center Director Dr. Gary L. Gregg II to discuss Nolan’s recent book, Atomic Doctors: Conscience and Complicity at the Dawn of the Nuclear Age. Nolan shares how the discovery of his grandfather’s papers sent him on a journey researching the role of doctors in the Manhattan Project and culminated in the publication of his latest book.
